Panila's Journey

This is was just such a beautiful moment, I couldn’t help but share.

“Some People” is a song written by Naru Kwina and his daughter, Najorae, for their upcoming book, Panila’s Journey. They came over one Sunday evening to put down scratch vocals and lay out the song structure for the pre-production process.

Now, Naru and I have been friends a long time, we even live just a few blocks away. We run in many of the same music circles, but haven’t had a chance to really work together, until now. Our kids are the same age and have known each other since park play group back when they were tiny. (that’s Juju in a couple shots on the other camera - full on family affair).

So add in Cava Menzies (another magical friend) on the keys, a father daughter duo that is so sweet and full of love, an inspired song with a powerful message, and man this is what i live for. Just had to turn on the cameras and roll.

Moments like this one is why I do what I do and i look forward to the rest of the project.
